Hello! Welcome to my personal portfolio and webpage.
I'm a born & raised San Francisco Bay Area girl, dedicated to creating health & happiness. I like to work hard & play harder, and help others to enjoy doing the same. I've been a life-long dancer since age 3. I believe I was born to choreograph and it has been my #1 passion in life since I was in junior high. In adult life though, my passions remain in the events, wellness, and entertainment industries - undoubtedly influenced from my initial core purpose. Though work-life is mostly my life (and completely happy with that!) I do enjoy travelling, painting, and discovering/ learning about wine. I had a short stint as a makeup artist during the years I had some severe health issues and am known for my love of cheese. Want to know more? Just ask! But there's a lot about me on these pages if you want to stalk. :) |
Industry Bio
Initiating her journey from dancer, to instructor, to choreographer throughout adolescence, Samantha Marie was virtually born into the arts, entertainment, and events industries. Graduating into live entertainment productions directly out of high school entered her into a new world of learning the business side of her life-long passion. She assisted large music and arts festivals from Love Parade San Francisco to national performing arts competitions and began managing her students and peers in dance and performing arts. In the summer of 2002 she co-founded OmniEra Entertainment, an artist and promotional management company while continuing to work with larger events companies throughout Northern California. With a spark of inspiration and intense creativity, she developed OmniEra’s first event of its own from the ground up, FORWARD, in June 2005 which became the company’s signature event.
Under Samantha’s direction, OmniEra continued successful events for the next several years ranging from art and music festivals of 2,000+ to featured lounge nights to daytime performances. Besides having full ownership of all events, she continued to manage up to 20 artists on the company’s roster which largely included musicians, dancers, producers, and visual artists. Responsible for all contracts and marketing on what were largely a couple dozen message boards from 2002-2010 prior to the ease of social media we have today, she pioneered in engagement with artists, promoters, and attendees from all around the globe, frequently booking out of state and internationally within the electronic music industry.
A harsh detour in her late twenties engulfed Samantha in a snowball effect of health issues, eventually leaving her physically unable to work or choreograph at all. Though this dark period followed her into her thirties, her tenacity and core industriousness led to a sharp focus on health & holistic well-being and propelled her into the world of fitness and natural solutions. With a desire to not see others struggle with what she did, Samantha obtained her CPT in 2013 as she began working for 24 Hour Fitness and collected a variety of certifications over the next few years relating to nutrition and wellness coaching. She keeps all her certifications current and independently consults with Sam Talia – a holistic wellness collaborative with a focus on hospitality and corporate wellness.
With a passion and calling like Samantha’s, it was only a matter of time before she reentered the event industry, this time with Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture in 2016. This sales management position enabled her to learn yet another side of the industry, this time increasing her knowledge working with corporate clients, catering companies, and enhanced legal policy for both state and federal requirements. She moved on to become Director of Sales and Events for The Chapel and Curio in 2018, a large event venue, restaurant and bar in San Francisco’s vibrant Mission District working with high-profile local clients such as Live Nation, Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative, Open Table, Lyft, and Google.
Always looking at the bigger picture, Samantha has been a member of Meeting Professionals International Northern California Chapter since 2017 and has served in chapter leader roles for events and membership. When a Business Development Manager role was offered to her for a large event rental corporation in February 2020, she was ready to make it the best year yet with her new company and peers in MPI, PCMA, and ILEA. Though the pandemic has hit hard, she has continued to be a leader in her community, volunteering for marketing, support, membership, and has still managed to continue working occasional live and virtual events while also having obtained her CMP and CITP.
The old rules no longer apply, and Samantha is well-equipped to discover new ones to create in 2021 with her unstoppable drive, experience, and passion for education throughout all industries in her future. Whether it’s events or wellness, hospitality or sales, Samantha Marie is the one you want on your team for creativity, inspiration, and results that can be achieved by someone with such a unique and diverse background.
